Rules

Open up the door

Graham Nash was singing in Chicago: "Rules and regulations, who needs them". Of course there are a few, but it will be easier to remember if you'll think about the purpose.

Fun & Respect

I strongly believe that you're here to enjoy a fantastic holiday. Still I think that me too and the work I did, need to be respected. Don't break anything, but if it happens, just tell me. Dishes and glasses need to be replaced and I need to purchase the replacements before coming up. If something worse happens, tell me right away, don't wait a minute. I'm usually online and reachable. We will sort it out.

Respect other guests' privacy. The apartment is reserved for you, the outdoor spaces should be relevant to the apartment facing it. Of course it would be much more fun to familiarize and have that beer after skiing on the benches all together.

Don't be too loud, the house is mostly made of wood.

The sauna is a common resource and its usage should be agreed before using. The apartments keys lock the sauna door, so if it's locked don't open it but send a message if you want to take advantage of an already warm sauna the other guests prepared for you :-)

Agreeing the turns before using it, is also a fantastic idea to reduce costs.

Time keeping

Check-in not before 3PM and check-out before 11AM. I really need that time to get the apartment ready for next guests. If you don't want to leave because the flight is at night and the sun shines on snowy slopes, I understand you so! Check-out time still applies but you can leave your luggage in the garage in front of the house and enjoy your day. Remember though, that I need to leave at 5PM with the last ride and I need the time to help you with your luggage and welcome the new guests.

Leave the apartment clean, I will have very little time between you and the next guests and lot of things to do. Please take bathroom towels, bed sheets and kitchen towels down to the wash-machine as soon as you wake up the day you're leaving, possibly before 8:30AM and send me a message when you're done, so I can start a laundry and have it dried before leaving in the evening.

Consumables

Oil, salt, vinagre, spices, candles are there to be used. There is usually more, like wine, food and spirits. I know shops are down in Champoluc and maybe you don't feel like going to the supermarket for that bottle of wine. Well, take it, but replace it with the same or equivalent before leaving or estimate the costs and leave the money. In any case tell me, so I can replace what's been consumed.

Heating and Washing

Heating is the primary cost here. We have a GPL gas burner and you can figure yourself how high are the costs. Please keep the heating at a reasonable level and turn it down a bit when you leave for skiing or during the night.

I love showers too, but all those precious calories are simply dumped in the drain. Please wash yourself without indulging under the hot water.

Here energy is expensive too. Use the sauna and the electric heater, without abusing. If you use sauna a lot, please contribute to the costs. I calculated around 10€/hour pure costs. Consider the costs included for 3 sessions/week. I trust your judgement.

Materials - Fair usage

In the garage there are skis, snowshoes, poles, sleds. You can use them if for some reasons you need to, but ask me before.

Ask, ask, ask

Whatever you need or don't understand, any doubt, suspect, hint and suggestion deserve a message. Instant messaging is so useful in these cases, use it! I love to interact with you but I won't disturb you unless you want me to, because those are your holidays, and Baita Mati is, if only for a week, your house. Enjoy it!
